Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a strong candidate to join this charity retailer as a Buyer. The position is initially offered as a 3 month contract with the possibility of a permanent role at the end.
You will be responsible for the buying of gifts, seasonal and also toys and your main accountabilities will be to:
? Significantly increase income by procuring and marketing a new goods range in shops, including everyday ranges, seasonal and promotional lines.
? Develop and procure a range of branded for Charity's merchandise for sale across shops branches and other supporter groups.
? Be accountable to the profitability of the range and work with the Home Shopping manager to ensure all obligations are met
? Set and meet Key Performance Indicators to maximise impact and return on investment of trading activity.
? Manage stock fulfilment and customer service levels through outsourced agencies.
? Analyse and respond quickly to sector trends and competitor activity.
? Set and meet stretch targets and personal objectives, input into budget setting and other financial planning activities.
The ideal candidate will have previously worked at Buyer level, you will have a strong commercial awareness coupled with effective influencing and communication skills.
