Description
This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the UK's leading entertainment retailers as a campaign buyer for games. Through joining this successful business you will be key to maintaining and building on their current success through growing sales, market share and margin to further enhance this company's excellent reputation.
This position reports into the commercial games manager and is a perfect opportunity to develop and implement both commercial and organisational skills on an ongoing basis.
You will assist and influence the development of the campaign strategy alongside the management of an annual calendar of campaigns. This role is more analytical than traditional buying roles and you will be required to carry out analysis to assist in commercial decision making. You will also carry out forecasting to achieve sales, margin, market share and stock targets.
You will be persuasive and strong at influencing others, a key element to your role will be to source and negotiate new campaigns with assigned suppliers and then to secure publisher marketing spend.
On a commercial front you will be responsible for conducting analysis across the industry for tracking games performance and trends. You will also develop a strategy for dealing with slow selling lines including re-distribution and recycling which will be communicated to stores.
You will work closely with a number of other different departments including space management and operations teams, both of which will help with the implementation of campaigns.
