Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the UK's leading Music and entertainment retailers as a Music buyer. Through joining this successful business you will be key to maintaining and building on their current success through growing sales, market share and margin to further enhance this company's excellent reputation.

This position reports into the Music Manager for Ireland and is an excellent opportunity to make an impact in a growth area for the company. Accordingly they are looking for a highly motivated, committed and passionate individual who can transfer their product passion into visible success and growth in market share.

You may currently hold a senior buying position in a store or a store management position and you will have a history of successful buying across all music genres.

You will be a vital link between suppliers & stores and you will be expected to further Improve Sales, Market Share & Margins across all music genres and formats. You will negotiate appropriate supplier deals to include margin, co-operative marketing & stock protection.

Through being a strong communicator you will develop successful working relationships with suppliers as well as compiling internal communications and working with a number of different departments including the catalogue, range, returns and marketing departments.


You will ideally have proven Music buying experience.
Excellent written & oral communication skills.
Self-motivation & enthusiasm.
Excellent planning and organisational skills
Commercial awareness & broad product knowledge. An appreciation of the Irish market is highly advantageous
