Store Planner

Description

A fantastic role has arisen with a leading British retailer as a Store Planner. The core focus of this role will be in producing effective and accurate CAD store plans in accordance with the Company refurbishment and design strategy, taking into account individual branch requirements. This will be achieved by understanding the individual branch performance dynamics and then applying effective space allocation, store design and category adjacencies to meet this aim so as to increase the profitability of the branches. You will also be responsible for making recommendations on design improvements to the store design and layout and to keep abreast of new design activity and initiatives in the retail sector.

?Qualified user of AutoCAD 2D is essential, experience of 3D CAD or similar technical packages would be an advantage
?Have a good knowledge and understanding of current DDA regulations
?Experience in dealing with Building control and have an up to date knowledge of current building regulations would be desirable.
?Ability to come up with innovative and varied design solutions
?A good understanding-knowledge of retail layout and design principles
? PC literate e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook etc
?Good communication skills, and the ability to communicate at all levels
?Be able to work as part of a team and on their own initiative
?Be able to achieve targets and objectives.

To be successful in this position you must be educated to degree level or similar and have an in-depth knowledge of working with auto-cad in a store planning position, where you gained strong analytical and systems skills. You also need to be able to have excellent prioritisation and decision making skills that will enable you to work well under pressure. You will also need to have the confidence to voice your opinion on possible solutions to senior member of staff, about problem you have incurred.
