Your Profile

The ideal News editor will be an experienced reporter or senior reporter on a business-to-business magazine or local newspaper looking for the next step up. It is essential that you are a confident writer, well-organised, proactive and reliable. You need to have the confidence to be an ambassador and have a flair for developing innovative story ideas and building contacts.

The Role

The successful candidate will write news stories for the monthly magazine and website, attend press conferences and briefings, oversee a team of contributing writers to produce the title's news pages, take ownership of the website, write and sub-edit news analysis features and contribute to the overall 'look and feel' of the title.

The Company

This is a well established publishing company based in Kingston upon Thames, with a respected reputation for publishing tax, accountancy and legal journals. The magazine itself has been short-listed in the monthly business magazine of the year category at the prestigious PPA magazines 2008 awards.
