Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen with my client a very well known high-end luxury lingerie label that are looking for a Store Opening Project Manager. This is a newly created role due to the company's rapid expansion and much of the work will involve having input into the structure of the job.

You have brilliant negotiating skills and are very tenacious. You are experienced when it comes to designing and utilizing critical paths, presenting board/business presentations does not faze you. Furthermore, you are highly organised, have great time management skills and are able to communicate at all levels.

You will be based at their Head Office and one of the key elements of this role is to control and manage the store opening process for all new stores and concessions, from signing of the contract to the first trading day. This will comprise of ensuring the store is delivered on time, within budget along with making sure that the standards of brand quality are preserved.

Main responsibilities:

Covering floor plan development in liaison with external company architects, shop fitters and internal design departments
Design, planning, management and implementation of critical path for all new store openings within specified timescales
Logistics, systems and operations set up for all new openings
Liasing with the merchandising department on store opening packages and delivery schedule
Liasing with the HR department on recruitment needs and timetable
Financial budgeting and control of store opening costs. Research for competitive quotes to improve budgets and drive down costs where necessary
Work with finance to impact future budget requirements for existing and new store roll outs
Feedback to relevant business areas on store opening successes/weaknesses and action plan to improve future projects
Manage all health and safety requirements for new store openings
Ensure successful handover of each store opening to Area/Store Manager
Management of Franchise store opening projects where necessary
Project management and coordination of store refurbishments/re-fits where necessary

Successful candidates will have at least two years experience in a similar role and will come from a retail operational background with strong project management experience. While experience of designing/implementing operational systems and procedures is a great advantage.
