About the Role
The Under Beadle is the deputy Hall manager who supports the many uses of the Hall, deputises for the Beadle and who co-ordinates and carries out much of the security, cleanliness and maintenance of the Grade I listed and Ancient Monument-Scheduled building. In the nature of the Hall these tasks are shared across the small team and include both an organisational and a manual dimension.
About the Person
A mature, experienced supervisor capable of working closely with members of a small team. Experience of Livery Hall, Club, Armed Service Mess/Ward Room Management or similar disciplined establishment essential. Experience of care and maintenance of a historic building and its requirements desirable.
The incumbent must possess the manner and bearing to serve and impress all users of and visitors to the Hall. He or she must be computer-literate, have the energy and physical fitness to move furniture and other artefacts routinely as well as to clean the premises.
