Top Tier Investment Bank are searching for a tenacious and self motivated individual to join the Credit Team

The Role

To position Credit Settlements team member to provide technical specialist support and expertise to the Credit Settlements team in London. OTC Derivative Operations is responsible for the processing and lifecycle management of OTC Derivative transactions globally spanning the Derivatives platform. This role will be located in London within the Credit Settlements team. The product suite spans both vanilla and structured products. The role mandates strong client engagement internally and externally via ongoing engagement with front to back and logistics stakeholders internally both regionally and globally complemented via extensive liaison with our external client base in support of role. In addition strong process focus and ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives in co-operation with our global partners alongside strong risk awareness to protect risk in many facets (e.g. client people process and financial) are key. Responsibilities Include: Exposure to and understanding of front to back processes Strong investigations experience and ability to undertake root cause analysis Strong product knowledge in the flow credit domain Good product knowledge in the Structured Credit domain Good knowledge of ISDA definitions and terminology Understanding of DTCC Settlement processes Exposure to CDS Quarterly roll processes Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Technical skills to construct reporting and tailor at appropriate level for management review Strong risk awareness and ability to understand and mitigate risk at appropriate levels upfront Fostering strong client relationships both internally front to back with associated logistics stakeholders and with external client population in support of goals - regionally and globally Good negotiation communication skills Support continuous improvement initiatives and develop change management toolkit Foster strong relationships with product managers and key stakeholders in support of change Demonstrate strong understanding of processes in support of role Develop existing reporting mechanisms Drive an improvement in key Settlement metrics Embrace change and demonstrate a creative and innovative attitude towards developments. Formulate proactive solutions to operational issues. Understand follow and demonstrate compliance with all relevant internal and external rules regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which you are involved specifically Internal Controls and any Compliance policy including inter alia the Group Compliance policy. Be aware of the Operational Risk scenario associated with your role and act in a manner that takes account of operational risk considerations.
