Development Manager

Description

An interesting vacancy has arisen in one of the UK's largest children's charity.

As Development Manager, your main duties will include:

- To be responsible for the development of relationships and delivery of income from those supporters/potential supporters from who you are responsible
- To analyse fundraising opportunities in a range of identified markets and with the Fundraising Manager develop the strategic plan to maximise income opportunities
- To correspond effectively and persuasively with supporters using creative and engaging methods of communication, including written, verbal and electronic methods.
- To work cross-functionally to ensure that fundraising activities are managed and developed

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills to understand, interpret and present complex information in a clear and persuasive way for a range of audiences. Ability to present fundraising ideas and pitches.
- Experience of working with high value donors, senior volunteers and proven success of achieving financial objectives
- The ability to plan, monitor and implement projects/events/initiatives to agreed deadlines often with conflicting priorities
