Description

An interesting role has materialised in the North London. Our client is looking for an experienced Team Library Assistant with an understanding of Bibliographical Services for a temporary ongoing role. In this role you would have a previous background to match the following criteria:

Assisting in the operation of Bibliographical Services.
Managing all stock and sundries from library material, cataloguing, reference and indexing.
Liaising with suppliers, local authorities, choirs, orchestras, other libraries and members of the public.
Maintaining awareness of Health and Safety within Bibliographical Services by attending training, courses, seminars and other events as appropriate.
Attend meetings as a representative of the library services.
Carrying out Bibliographical research
Acting as BS Manager in their absence.

To be applicable for this role the following specifications are essential:

Studying towards or qualified in CILIP.
Experience in working in a public library and be able to supervise staff.
Ability to use and develop Information Communication Technology.
Current knowledge of Bibliographical materials included recommended databases and research tools.
