Estimator / Senior Estimator

Description

A position for an Estimator / Senior Estimator has become available with one of the largest engineering and construction groups in the world, employing over 83,000 people. The company provides engineering, procurement, construction and project management services for a complete range of offshore, government operations, infrastructure and onshore projects. It has an annual turnover of some £700 million.


? Upwards of 3 to 5 years minimum experience estimating for the petrochemical industry.
? While work effort will not require development of mto's an understanding of the work involved in doing this type of effort is beneficial


Work effort will involve interface with overall estimating team/department in the development of all levels of estimates from conceptual to lump sum. Support of cost engineering with regards to establishment of control estimates, change/variation control and check estimates.
Work effort does not involve mto take-off from engineering drawings but requires a sound knowledge of qty data, standard benchmarks and construction practices to allow assessment of the completeness of engineering developed bom's and boq's.
