Senior Merchandiser (Childrenswear)

Description

This leading high street retailer is looking to recruit an experienced merchandiser into their childrenswear department. This would be an excellent opportunity for a merchandiser looking to make a move up to the next level within one of the UK's leading department stores.

The main purpose of the role is to plan and trade product within childrenswear by developing effective merchandise and range plans, managing performance in season and by effective management of the supply chain in order to drive profit. You will have experience in creating and managing OTB plans and working with WSSI. The level of the role denotes that you have experience in managing a team and will be capable of conducting training in a motivational team environment.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be an excellent communicator with good IT skills, especially Excel, as well as an analytical mind. You will need a strong background in merchandising, preferably within a similar department and the ability to work at a fast pace.
