Senior Construction Manager, London c.GBP 75k p.a. plus a most generous package

A Senior Construction Manager is required for GBP 250 million plus mixed use development in Central London. This is one of the most prestigious and technologically schemes of its kind throughout Europe.

The successful role seeker will have an opportunity to work on a very challenging project that will include complex demolition, retained facade, new build and complete project life cycle to fit out. This project will be finished to the highest quality standard found in the industry therefore quality delivery and management is essential.

Experience of Construction Management form of contract is an advantage; you will also need to lead, manage and support post tender construction activities, to ensure timely delivery of the project.

The Requirements:

The main requirement is to contribute to the achievement of safety targets and zero tolerance of unsafe working practices and occurrences, to deliver the project to the client within budget, Quality Assurance standards, on programme and to stringent safety parameters. ? To work with the planning team to develop detailed and accurate short term programmes of work. ? To assess employee capability and performance. ? To manage the budget and delivery of the section/ project. ? To provide accurate and timely reporting of progress against the agreed programme(s). ? To ensure adoption of innovative ideas from within the business and from the workforce. ? To plan the programming of day to day resource requirement and communicate these to the construction team. ? To interface with other managers to share best practice and ensure effective resource utilisation. ? To monitor external changes to work plans and report the effect of change. ? To lead section meetings and review progress in productivity, design and achievement of commercial requirements. ? To ensure effective implementation of project management systems and procedures Contribute to the contract review process.
