Associate Transport Planner, London & South East c.GBP 65K plus generous package

An environmentally responsible and responsive consultancy is looking for an Associate Transport Planner for their highways and infrastructure team. My clients' engineering approach is holistic, combining different disciplines in one, integrated team. Their reputation for excellence has grown from the basis that engineering is always viewed as one important component of a project's overall design solution.

Your principal role will be to deal direct with clients in supporting their progress toward securing transport planning permission for their sites. You can expect to be active on a number of projects/client accounts at any given time and you will be supported by a pool of experienced technical staff of various grades from our highway / transport teams to whom you will delegate and manage on a project basis.

The candidate would ideally be an experienced engineer (or transport planner) with extensive knowledge and experience of the planning process including EIP/structure plans and public enquiries/local plans.

Ideally the role seeker would possess a sound knowledge of preliminary highway design, junction design and analysis, traffic software (TRICS, ARCADY, OSCADY, PICADY, TRANSYT etc.), traffic management techniques and Highways Agency and Local Authority design guidance.

In addition it would be beneficial for the candidate to be Chartered from a Civil engineering background or relevant transport institution.

The Highways team are currently working on some of the most prestigious schemes in the UK as well as numerous highway projects across Europe and the Middle East.
