Description

Overview of Senior Pay & Benefits Analyst role is to manage non-pay benefits systems:
?recognition and loyalty schemes
?honours nominations process
?staff discounts schemes.

Also manage:
?the annual staff survey
?employee feedback mechanisms
?lead on staff retention initiatives

?To make major contribution to developing HR operational policies and procedures.
?Provide expert advice to HR staff and line managers on development and operation of non-medical pay systems.
?Responsibility for providing a professional service to managers and staff for job analysis, job matching and job reviews.

Main Duties in your role as Senior Pay and Benefits Advisor:
?Secretary to the Pay & Reward Committee
?Undertake pay modelling and research
?Provide advice and expertise to staff and management regarding A4C
?Plan and oversee the running of non-medical pay administration
?Provide research for the Remuneration & Terms of Service Committee
?Manage the arrangements for the annual staff survey
?Manage the action plan resulting from the annual staff survey
?Support the Joint Head of Learning & Development

Key Skills for a Pay and Benefits Expert/Analyst
?Graduate CIPD or equivalent
?Minimum of three years' experience of pay modelling and/or research techniques
?Knowledge of external HR practice
?Knowledge of range of services provided by the HR function
?Knowledge of UK and European employment legislation
?Excellent analytical skills
?Ability to balance competing priorities and meet personal and directorate targets within a demanding and fluctuating workload.
?Highly numerate
?Ability to concentrate over long periods with interruptions
?Ability to use initiative to make independent, informed business decisions
?Appreciation NHS management and patient care policies and practices
?IT skills in Microsoft Office, Word, Access, Business Objects, Excel and PowerPoint
?Confidence in making presentations and public speaking
?Able to attend meetings and conferences across the country including overnight stays
