Description

An excellent opportunity within one of the UK's leading construction contractors as a Bid Manager based equally in both North West London and the Midlands.

We require a Bid Manager with relevant experience in business procurement preferably for a main contractor, ideally having worked on opportunities of value from £10m ? 100m across a range of construction industry sectors. As the ideal candidate you will need to demonstrate an ability to build, lead, motivate and inspire teams comprising direct reports and other internal and external personnel.

You should be able to demonstrate that you can use your initiative and experience to produce deliverables to tight deadlines when required. You should have developed coaching skills and be pro-active in the pursuit of innovative and differentiating solutions.

Duties to include the following:
- Develop direct reports
- In conjunction with Business Development and Operations, develop ?win strategies? to inform on selection of opportunities to pursue
- Build and lead teams in the preparation of bids which promote the company to customers as the contractor of choice and which result in profitable business
- Lead post-tender negotiations and 'close the deal'.
