Description
A forward thinking leading NHS Trust is looking for a Specialist in Medical HR to take responsibility for all aspects of HR for the Clinical personnel within the organisation.
Key Skills and Qualifications
Degree level qualification or equivalent experience
MCIPD essential (FCIPD Desirable)
Significant MEDICAL HR management experience
Detailed knowledge of national NHS HR policy
Detailed knowledge of UK and European employment legislation
Appreciation of major Trust-wide management and patient care policies and practices
Main Duties
Planning and organisational skills
?provide expert advice to directors on the contractual position of all consultant medical staff
?to support clinical directors and in managing their annual job planning cycles to ensure maximum efficiency and flexibility from consultant staff.
?ensure the effective management of medical consultant and junior doctor appointments for the Trust.
?undertaking pre- and post- employment checks Policy development
oTo be the Trust lead for the CRB process, to include:
odeveloping and implementing CRB policy and procedures
omanaging the of CRB process to ensure staff adhere to procedure
People management
?To line manage the Medical HR & Administration Manager and her team.
?To maintain effective relationships with senior clinicians and external bodies, including the Royal Colleges, BMA and the London Deanery.
Financial management
?To manage the pay and non-pay budgets for the Medical HR, HR administration and workforce planning teams
