The Company:

Our client is a quoted international group with their head office in West London. They are currently recruiting for a Senior Buyer to join their impressive offices as soon as possible.

The Role:

The market for laptops is constantly increasing and changing significantly. As the market is expanding quickly new sources of supply are constantly coming up. New services and products have entered the market and as technology is constantly evolving, some laptops become outdated after as little as 6 months. This role is critical to my client's wireless strategy and expanding their range of laptops is crucial to their business development.

-delivering financial and brand performance through the development of market leading pricing and product development
-developing a new range of products to build my client's reputation as a leading laptop retailer
-defining supplier base that can deliver lowest cost supply and maximum product availability and manage relationships
-Strategic planning: Stock responsibilities, range selection, exit strategies for discontinued products, supply forecast
-contacting and corresponding with the commercial team
-benchmarking supplier performance
-day to day contact with manufacturers
-dealing with financial and administrative duties

Candidate Profile:

You will have ideally 3-5 years experience of working in Retail Buying along with a proven experience in finding and exploiting new opportunities. Strong influencing and negotiation along with resilience is fundamental. You must be able to present comfortably at board level and have the ability to anlayse large volumes of data. IT skills especially in Word, Excel and PowerPoint are essential to at least an intermediate level.

There will also be some travel involved

Salary/Additional Information:

The salary for this position is between £75,000 and £80,000 plus bonus and outstanding benefits such as pension, private health care, Life Assurance, Income Protection Scheme, Sharesave Plan
