Description

This is a varied and creative position based within the Purchasing Department of an expanding property organisation. The Purchasing Department is responsible for the procurement, refurbishment and renovation of existing properties. The Assistant with work closely with the Purchasing Manager in delegating projects to the buying team. Items to be purchased will be furniture, lamps, mirrors, carpets and other items which are required for the interior decor of the buildings. A qualification or interest in design/interior decoration or history of art would be an advantage. Main responsibilities will include:- implementation and maintenance of supplier agreements to ensure the orders are delivered on time- source suppliers and negotiate prices -co-ordinate information regarding purchases, queries and relay to the team- training of new employees within the Purchasing Department - authorise invoices and analyse reports. The Assistant will be responsible for the harmony, staff morale across the team. ensuring the success of all projects. This position is varied, creative and will require excellent organisational/people skills and the ability to work unsupervised with project management.
