Control and Information Team Leader

Description

My Client is a leading engineering organisation, supporting the infrastructure of London Underground facilities. They have an urgent requirement for a Control and Information Team Leader to join their London office.

Role outline:
To provide day to day technical leadership and team supervision to the Control and Information design and development team.

Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and develop close links with clients and appropriate engineering personnel to ensure a sound understanding of client needs and effective delivery of engineering or technical services.
Undertake lead engineering role to determine the nature, scope and methodology of work packages.
Production of demand plans and estimates
Resource allocation and management
Detailed checking and review of all profession related aspects of the work to ensure engineering solutions incorporate the appropriate level of design.
Prepare technical specifications and programme requirements for equipment suppliers and third party organisations
Awareness of emerging technologies and their application to the railway.

Required skills/experience/qualifications:
HNC / HND or Degree in an electronic / electrical / software engineering discipline with post qualification experience in a railway or similar operational environment.
Leading teams
Knowledge of control systems and information systems.
Knowledge and understanding of Railway Signalling Principles
Capturing user requirements and developing specifications and estimates.
Production of Software test & validation, specifications
Design responsibility for technical outputs.
