Description
Major Blue Chip client based in Brentford has a requirement for a Credit Services Coordinator to work on a temporary basis for one year.
Duties will include, but not be limited to the following:
Monitor and maintain third party export trade credit in line with contractual terms of trading including commissions rates
Establish and maintain appropriate credit limits through daily reviews to avoid ?stop-order? situations
Pro-actively manage daily credit sanctioning within tight deadlines
Liaise with markets and/or customers for prompt debt collection for relevant third party customers and resolve customer queries preventing payment
Prepare debtors reports for both finance function and market teams including commentary for overdue debt.
Support the Finance Business Partner in initiatives and developing finance best practice to streamline business processes and improve internal control procedures
Manage the payables and receivables ledgers and associated transactions for the inter-company customers.
Responsible for monthly reporting on all inter company movements and preparing supporting schedules for finance business partner
Manage daily orders entered for credit control within required service level agreement timelines to ensure shipments are in line with credit limits and terms of trading to limit business credit risk
Prepare and allocate cash receipts daily. Where appropriate ensure offsets of commission and debit notes in line with agreed terms of trading
Pro-actively communicate with both customers and markets to ensure any issues preventing debt collection is resolved in a timely manner
Preparations of month end reports ensuring integrity to the general ledger as well as information on global overdue debt in line with month end reporting timelines
Co-ordinate work efforts to support other team members as well as contacts within Logistics and other third party contact groups
Actively support continuous improvement of business processes including updating of business procedures and supporting Sarbanes Oxley internal control procedure compliance
Ensure timely and accurate processing of all incoming invoices/debit/credit notes for the inter company accounts
Reconcile and agree inter company balances to meet month end timetable, investigate and resolve all reconciling differences.
Allocate cash receipts/payments for inter company
Investigate and produce monthly report of overdue debt and facilitate resolution
Meet the requirements of Audit both internally and externally, also Sarbanes Oxley
Responsible for managing third party customers (+-110 accounts) for credit sanctioning and debt collection across 25+ countries
Operating credit control in fast and continually changing environment
Work within a dynamic environment where adjustment to ways of working is often required to cope with the variety and diversity of customers in region which are often driven by projects outside of the clients' Export control
Interaction with all levels of area and market finance teams as well as external customers direct to provide information and resolve issues.
Interaction with other members of the export team and other functional leaders
Essential Requirements
At least 2 years commercial experience in a credit environment
Graduate or graduate caliber
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Highly computer literate with a strong knowledge of JD Edwards preferable
Ability to build relationships internally and externally across functions and divers cultural and geographical areas
Good understanding of export trade credit and accounting principles
Working hours start at 7.30 will be the occasional Sunday
