Description

Purpose of Job To manage and provide a supported housing management service to clients, managing a patch

within the framework of Supporting People working to agreed targets and under the direction of Supporting Housing Manager Duties and Responsibilities: To manage the Association Housing stock to a high standard and ensure that repairs are carried out, liaising with private sector landlords. To ensure that house meetings and support plans are completed and reviewed for every tenant and comply with the requirements of supporting people Quality Assessment Framework (QAF) To ensure records systems/information systems are up to date on client support needs and action is taken where there is breech of the tenancy or support agreement including attending court where necessary. To interview clients for rehousing in accordance with the rehousing policy and procedures. To provide monthly local performance indicators (LPI's) on Clients needs and assessment in relation to Supporting People Assessment Framework to Supported Housing Manager. To liaise with external agencies and bodies involved with supporting people including health/local authority. To deal with complaints from residents in relation to housing management issues. To identify and monitor repairs in properties consulting with contractors and private sector landlords and take appropriate action to resolve issues where repairs are below standard or not carried out. Attend Management committee meetings as necessary, including some evening meetings and draft reports and or presentations as required for Housing Manager or Committee as required. Consult with clients and users/stakeholders to ensure that user involvement is evident in support plans To carry out Risk assessments and H&S inspections and take appropriate action to comply with legal and local authority regulations and standards . To maximize rental income and take appropriate action ,including legal action

to minimize rent arrears by liaison with Benefit Agencies and Statutory Agencies and provide monthly arrears reports. Any other duties or activities that may from time to time are required by the Supported Housing Manager.
