Fantastic opportunity based in the City working for a very well establsihed global company - over 100 years of history.

The role involves working with Insurance Industry companies, including but not limited to brokers, insurers, re-insurers, consulting firms and banks.

The role will be approximately 80% new business and 20% account management.

Duties/Responsibilities

Selling insurance information services including industry news and data via software, online and printed publications

Achieving renewal business targets on assigned territory, developing relationships with existing clients, up-selling and acquiring new revenue within existing client companies

Achieving new business sales on assigned territory from start (door opening/need creation) to finish (signed agreement)

Demonstrating software/online products and services using a computer

Communicating with prospects in written and verbal forms

Planning, organising and administering the territory

Providing management with reliable sales forecasts and quality reporting

Representing the Company professionally

Skills/Experience Essential:

Strong, proven sales and negotiation skills

Good working knowledge of software products including Excel, Word and contact management software (eg ACT) etc.

Good written and verbal communication skills

Team player

Tenacious, persistent and patient

Goal-oriented and self-motivated

Literate and numerate
