Junior SAS Consultant

Description

My client, a specialist business and technology consultancy, requires a Junior SAS Consultant to provide consultancy services to clients within Capital Markets, Retail Banking and Insurance. The consultancy's clients are major commercial and government organisations, in the UK, USA and across mainland Europe. Training and development is central to their ethos and their induction program ensures that all new employees add real value to the company soon after they join.

SAS - The role involves providing support to the ongoing financial services client support contracts, problem analysis, bug determination and fixing, development of application enhancements, and finding the underlying causes of problems or discrepancies to identify problems and develop sound solutions.

SAS - For this role you will need:
- Proven experience with SAS Base and Macro programming skills
- Data Warehouse design and development with experience of using SAS as an ETL tool for managing large volumes of data
- Data Mining and statistical analysis, including the use of SAS Enterprise Miner and SAS/STAT
- An understanding of the principles behind the design and development of data warehouses and data marts.
