Description
Purpose:
The UK FSA expects the branch to have appropriate controls in place, including controls over credit risk, so that there is an effective check and balance on the front office.
Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Timely and accurate production of project finance and corporate credit ratings credit ratings - (long term)
- Organisation of branch' CTRC and minutes taking (short term) - (medium term)
- Monitoring of covenants compliance (secondary) (medium term)
- Maintenance of interdepartmental rating database (medium term)
Knowledge & Skills
? Understanding of Corporate and Project Finance credit risk analysis techniques including the application of rating methodologies (essential)
? Understanding and experience of using and interpreting financial statements and complex spreadsheets (essential)
? Experience in Project Finance market and key credit issues (essential)
? Experience of credit modelling methodologies (essential)
? Experience in staff management (desirable)
? Basic credit skills training (essential)
? Knowledge of accounting standards and contents (essential)
? Ability to accurately follow procedures manuals and systems (essential)
? Capacity to deliver reports/rating materials within allocated timescale (essential)
? Capacity to plan and organise own workload (essential)
? A good level of inter-personal skills (essential)
? Knowledge of contents of loan documentation, including but not limited to covenants and undertakings (desirable)
? Knowledge of credit risk measurement methodologies, including both internal and externally derived approaches (desirable)
