So what does "Putting the Candidate First" really mean?

We firmly believe that the best way to recruit is by getting to know candidates; by spending time understanding their long term aims and objectives; and by only introducing them to clients where we feel there is a good personality fit as well as the necessary skills and experience. We feel that too many secretarial agencies have a 'scatter-gun' approach: they often send candidates out to interview for positions which are not right for them, merely to show clients that they are doing something. This is a waste of time for both the client and the candidate, particularly when there is then pressure on candidates to take positions, which don't suit them. That sort of behaviour can lead to dissatisfaction and, ultimately, to candidates leaving very quickly.

Prolaw's approach is altogether different. We prefer to send fewer candidates out to interviews for any particular vacancy but, by getting to know them in more depth, the candidates we do send are far more likely to be right for the job.
